HUMANITARIAN LOGISTICS CONFERENCE
Since 2003, Fritz Institute has hosted the Humanitarian Logistics Conference (HLC) in Geneva, Switzerland. The first annual conference was held in 2004 and has rapidly grown and matured since then. Beginning with just a handful of participants, HLC is recognized today as the only forum that brings together over 50 humanitarian logistics professionals to address their common interests in an impartial environment. Participants include logisticians from the UN, Red Cross and Red Crescent movement and leading international NGOs. HLC is unique in its ability to convene all of the actors in the humanitarian "ecosystem" to come together and focus on improving humanitarian logistics. In 2004, a regional HLC was held in Nairobi, Kenya.

More than 38 million people around the world are infected by HIV/AIDS, 25 million in Africa alone.
Fritz Institute is spurring extremely useful discussions of ways to improve professional education and training in the field of disaster management.
