2005 saw 360 natural disasters worldwide, compared to 305 in 2004, an increase of 18 percent.
Fritz Institute is the world's, I would say, arguably the best and the first institute that focused the attention on conducting research and developing methods to help humanitarian relief organizations to respond as well as to prepare for disasters...I'm happy that Fritz Institute has done a wonderful job and today we look to that Institute for leadership as well as for resources and many of the insights from many of the experiences that they have done helping organizations to respond to disasters.
